Short Description
US metro fiber network maps

Long Description
This data set consists of an gzip archive of shapefiles for maps of a selection of 48 metro fiber network maps in the US.       The archive includes maps for most of the large Metropolitan Statistical Areas.          The maps are geocoded so that they can be visualized and analyzed in standard Geographic Information Systems such as ESRI's ArcGIS.    The archive also includes URLs for all of the sources for the maps of metro fiber networks that are described in the paper "Characteristics of Metro Fiber Deployments in the US" by Mani et al., which is published in the Network Traffic Measurement and Analysis Conference (TMA) 2020.
